Today, we are going to share the story of a couple who hired MaryMe to organize their long-distance wedding that took place in August 2021. Sofia and Hélder are both Portuguese, however, they live in Switzerland. We asked Sofia to share her experience, not only with Mary Me Eventos:
Sofia, where do you currently reside and why did you choose to get married in Portugal?
“We live in Switzerland, in the city of Bern, however, we are both Portuguese and we have our roots in Portugal, as do our family and friends. Getting married in Portugal brought different magic: what all couples dream of. Not to mention the climate, gastronomy, location and romanticism”.
Who was your Wedding Planner?

We get married in a pandemic season and planning a Destination Wedding in this circumstance is very complicated, since you never know the unforeseen events that may arise. How did the organization of your wedding day go?
“Everything went very well! It was a great relief for us to have the support of the organization. Those responsible took care of everything, from when I left home, until the end of the wedding. Our guests were impressed with all the professionalism. If unforeseen events happened, I honestly don’t know. It was all taken care of without me or the groom even noticing. Any need of ours, they were there to satisfy it and make it a reality. They guided us from the photoshoot to the shoot of the branch and, without forgetting, entering the salon. They guided EVERYTHING! We consider it essential to have this team with us. The word I send to the Mary Me team is GRATITUDE! It wouldn’t have been possible without them by my side.”
