If you live in the USA and have decided to get married in Portugal: what should you know before the first planning meeting?

You live in the USA and have decided to get married in Portugal: what should you know before the first planning meeting?

-Save a spot on your calendar of about 1 to 2 hours. Given the time difference between countries, don’t let that interfere in communicating your expectations, due to lack of time. We know that you have a busy life and that you want to invest your time in the best possible way (we do too!) and that is why it is very important that, at least in this initial meeting, you do not have any limitations/commitments that prevent you from being available, time as needed.

-Question everything you feel you need during that meeting and put all the issues that concern you on the table. In an initial approach, frankness in transmitting your expectations, as well as those of your guests, is crucial, so that everything, from the beginning, is thought of in this sense. What makes you happy?! What makes your guests happy?! How would you like them to feel appreciated?! When you leave the meeting, you should have a general idea of everything that will happen, that in terms of internal and external procedures of the company, that in terms of decisions and deadlines that you will have to respect, so that, together, they can meet what they proposed.

-When the meeting is over, let yourself enjoy the process, trust the team, and then you can go to that hard-working meeting!
