Tips for a Stress-Free Wedding Day

As much as you plan your wedding and pay attention to every little detail, just accept that you won’t be able to control everything! The florist can accidently bring the wrong flowers, the food may be served late and there’s a chance the band might have some problems with the sound system. It happens. Here are some tips that can make you feel a little less worried.

Plan to be Ready Early

Try to be ready at least an hour before you have to leave for the ceremony. It might seem like a lot, but the truth is time flies by really fast when you’re getting ready, especially when it’s for the big day and you don’t want to stress about speeding up the whole process! It’s nice to feel relaxed when you’re done getting ready and still have some time to be with your bridesmaids before you have to leave.

Hire Great Suppliers

Make sure you hire professional suppliers who know what they’re doing so that you don’t have to worry about when the food or the final decorations will arrive. Your wedding day is supposed to be a fun and stress-free day so try to hire people who are capable of taking care of everything.

Hire a day-of coordinator

You might think you’re capable of doing everything on your own until the big day comes around and you realize you need help or you’ll be more worried than calm during the special day. Hiring someone who can handle the details on the actual day is a great way to keep you from stressing out. Remember that you should be the guest at your wedding, which means you should be having fun all the time!

Forget the Weather

The weather conditions are a big worry for any bride or groom. However, the truth is we can’t control Mother Nature, so let it be! No rain or wind will ruin your big day and worrying about something as unpredictable and out of control as this is only a waste of time. The only thing you can do is make sure you have the necessary items to make the situation less stressful. Umbrellas, blankets and sunscreen are must haves.

Pack a Survival Bag

In case of emergency it’s important to reach out for some items that might not seem super important but that can truly make a difference. Make up remover, sewing kit, waterproof mascara, a compact mirror, hair pins, tissues, mints and a hair brush are always welcomed. You’ll thank us later.

Stay with your spouse

A wedding is a great place to re-encounter some old friends and people you haven’t seen in a while, and it’s important to catch up with your family and have fun with your closest friends, but make sure you don’t forget to spend some time with your spouse, after all this day is meant to celebrate the both of you. When you look back at your wedding, you’ll want to remember the special moments you lived with everyone but especially with your partner, so don’t stay away for too long.

As you can see, thankfully there are a few things you can do to stress a little less or not stress at all during one of the most important days of your life. There’s a lot of pressure to make everything look perfect but the most important thing is that you’re happy, relaxed and having fun with your loved ones. It’s not worth worrying about things that are out of your control. Maintain this mantra for the simplest way to have a stress-free wedding day and make sure you follow these tips to start your day exactly as you’ll end it – happy and relaxed.
