Are we able to group the commitment down payments for services altogether through Mary Me?
Yes, we can group and centralise the down payments through Mary Me for your convenience. This allows you to make a single payment that we then distribute to the vendors, making the process smoother and less time-consuming for you.
If we want to add services later (e.g., CO₂ gun, LED, etc.), can we adjust them later?
Absolutely! Additional services can be added along the way, depending on your preferences and timeline. We’ll adapt the planning project accordingly and ensure the integration is seamless.
Are kids priced the same for all venues/events? What’s the age cut-off?
Most venues apply reduced pricing for children, with cut-offs typically at:
- 0–2 years: free
- 3–10 years: 50% of the menu price
- 10+ years: full price
This can vary slightly by venue, but we’ll confirm for each one.
For the rehearsal event, what’s the timing to maximise sunset on the boat?
In Portugal, sunset times vary by season, but in June/September, it’s usually between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM. Boarding around 6:30–7:00 PM ensures you enjoy the golden hour and the magical transition into sunset.

A destination wedding involves many moving parts, logistics, cross-border contracts, vendor coordination, guest travel, etc. A planner saves you time, reduces stress, negotiates better, and ensures execution. Yes. We specialize in weddings throughout Portugal (mainland and islands). This ensures deep local insight, trusted vendor relationships, and high-quality execution.
Do you only plan large weddings?
No. We plan everything from micro weddings (intimate elopements), small, medium to large-scale celebrations, always aligned with your vision and budget.
What is included in your core service?
We provide end-to-end planning: design, vendor curation, contract negotiation, timeline & budget management, guest logistics, on-the-day coordination, and extras (welcome events, cultural touches, farewell brunch, pool party, and others).
How does the first contact or consultation work?
We begin with a complimentary discovery call to understand your story, vision, priorities, and constraints. From there, we propose a plan and next steps.
Do you assist with budget management and tracking?
Yes. We help you allocate funds prudently, track expenses, control vendor costs, and present a transparent budget dashboard.
Do we have to choose from vendors within your network only?
No. We maintain a vetted network of preferred vendors, but you’re always free to request or propose specific vendors. We’ll evaluate feasibility, pricing, and compatibility.
Can I hire just day-of coordination?
Yes, our “Wedding Coordination” service is designed for couples who’ve already booked vendors but want professional oversight on the wedding day itself.
Do you also plan complementary events (welcome dinner, post-wedding brunch, touring)?
Yes, absolutely. We can plan and coordinate all events that are part of your wedding celebration, including welcome dinners, post-wedding brunches, tours, or any other experiences you wish to share with your guests.
When should we book your services? What’s the ideal lead time?
For destination weddings, we recommend 12–16 months ahead to secure venues and key vendors. For smaller or simpler weddings, 6–9 months may be feasible.
How many weddings do you accept per year?
We limit our portfolio so that each couple receives dedicated focus and creative attention, quality over quantity.
What if there’s a change of plan (e.g. weather, travel issues)?
We build contingency plans, vendor backup options, insurance recommendations, and flexibility in contracts to respond to last-minute situations.
Is our marriage legally recognised?
Yes, as long as all the legal requirements in Portugal are met. While we don’t handle the legal process directly, we can recommend trusted professionals who specialise in documentation, translations, and registration to ensure your marriage is fully valid in your home country.
How long until we receive our marriage certificate?
Timing depends on municipality and foreign registration processes. We’ll share expected timelines during planning and provide support for translation and submission.
