Immerso Ode Winery

About this venue

Some projects don’t just open their doors — they plant a vineyard, a kitchen garden, an entire idea of how to live, and only then invite someone to get married in the middle of it. Ode Winery, 45 minutes from Lisbon, is one of those. A 96-hectare property where minimal-intervention wine is made, where syntropic and organic farming is practised, and where events take place surrounded by the very land that feeds the table.

It’s a project by the Immerso Collective — the same people behind Immerso, in Ericeira — with the same signature of design and sustainability, now translated into a working winery in the Lisbon region. The Cellar Door restaurant, built on a sharing concept, serves what the garden gives; the winery makes whites of remarkable freshness and structured reds.

For couples who want a vineyard wedding that’s contemporary and conscious, away from the obvious of the Douro, this is the spot. If you ask us, it’s one of the most exciting projects being born at the gates of Lisbon.

Accomodations

The accommodation component, Ode Living, is still in development, so there is no accommodation operating on the estate yet. Until it opens, Mary Me coordinates the room blocks at curated hotels in Lisbon and the region — taking advantage of the under-an-hour distance to the capital — and handles the family-by-family allocation, transfers, and arrival sequencing so the wedding morning runs without surprises.

History

Ode is a recent project, and its story is one of a bold bet. The 96-hectare property was acquired by the Immerso Collective — founded by David Clarkin and Andrew Homan — with the aim of bringing visibility to a region and its deep wine culture, through Ode Winery and Ode Farm & Living.

The winery is already in production, with the first harvest under the Ode label released in 2022 — Semillon and Viognier whites with freshness and persistent acidity, subtle and well-structured reds, all under the philosophy of ‘minimal intervention, maximum attention.’ On the farm, syntropic and organic agriculture is taking its first steps, with a greenhouse, produce that supplies the restaurant, and even a flock of lambs.

If you ask us, there’s something honest about getting married in a place still writing its own story — one that lets you be part of the opening pages. That isn’t an everyday thing.

About the Location

We’re in Vila Cha de Ourique, about 45 minutes from Lisbon, in the wine region that stretches northeast of the capital — land of vineyard, plain, and open light, away from the density of the coast.

The location is the practical trump card: Humberto Delgado Airport, in Lisbon, is under an hour away, which makes Ode accessible for international guests without the long onward journey other vineyard destinations demand. And yet, the moment you enter the property, the city disappears — leaving only the 96 hectares of vineyard, garden, and sky.

For a destination wedding, Ode offers the rare combination of a real, working winery and the closeness of Lisbon for everything the guests might want to do before or after. Arriving is easy. Leaving — we can’t quite guarantee that part.

Weddings at Immerso Ode Winery

Ode is, above all, a working winery — and that’s what gives a wedding here its character. Ceremonies take place outdoors, among the vines and the garden, with the plain of the Lisbon region behind. The cocktail flows across the outdoor spaces and the winery area, with the house wines — minimal intervention — as, naturally, the stars.

Dinner and the party set up in the property’s event spaces and outdoors, in a format that favours long tables, sharing, and a connection to the land. The Cellar Door restaurant, built on a sharing concept, brings farm-to-table cooking straight from the syntropic garden to the wedding table — few places can say the menu was born metres from the dance floor.

As this is a recent project, the exact capacities and specific spaces are confirmed with the venue. What’s already certain is the angle: a contemporary, sustainable vineyard wedding at the gates of Lisbon. The couple’s session winds through the vineyard, the garden, and the winery at golden hour. Pop the question. We handle the rest.

What Mary Me Unlocks

The value we add is to represent you independently and to orchestrate everything that links this working winery to the world your guests come from. We handle the transfers — taking advantage of the under-an-hour distance to Lisbon airport — and the management of the guests’ accommodation which, until Ode Living opens, we coordinate at curated hotels in Lisbon and the region, with the arrival sequencing of an international group. And there’s the practical side: the civil-ceremony paperwork in Portuguese, the council permit for fireworks, the sound curfew, the liaison with the local churches for the Catholic part, and a day-after programme of Lisbon, Sintra, and the region’s vineyards for the guests who stay on. From the first call to the last dance.
