Albufeira is the Algarve’s best-known resort town — and its busiest. But east of the crowds, where the red cliffs of Praia da Falesia run for kilometres, sits a quieter, clifftop version most people never reach.
There is one Albufeira wedding venue in our portfolio, and it’s deliberately the quiet one — the clifftop east at Praia da Falésia, not the nightlife strip the town is known for.
Albufeira holds 1 of Mary Me’s curated wedding venues — Pine Cliffs, a clifftop resort on the dramatic red-cliff coast east of the town, away from the resort strip. About 30–35 minutes from Faro airport, it carries weddings of up to around 500 guests, best in May–June and September–October.
Albufeira has a reputation: the Strip, the nightlife, family-resort tourism. That’s one Albufeira. The other is the dramatic ochre-red cliff coast around Olhos de Agua and Praia da Falesia, where clifftop resorts look out over the Atlantic well away from the bustle. The setting we choose here, Pine Cliffs, sits on exactly that stretch.
About thirty-five minutes from Faro, it gives you the easy access and the famous Algarve beaches without the package-holiday feel — the version of Albufeira actually worth marrying in.

For more of the same coast, the cliff villages of Carvoeiro and the estates around Faro are a short drive west and east.
