Quinta da Almiara is a family wine estate, dedicated to winemaking since 1980, surrounded by one hundred and eighty hectares of vineyard in the Lisbon Wine Region. It’s a setting of rare scenic beauty — gentle hills, vines as far as the eye can see, and a temperate climate, shaped by the Atlantic.
Beyond producing wine, Almiara hosts weddings with the infrastructure only a serious estate has: a recently remodelled modern cellar, its own restaurant, wine tasting, and lodging on-site. It’s a wedding with the vineyard as both backdrop and protagonist.
For couples who want an authentic wine wedding, with hills and vines in every photo, this is the spot. If you ask us, it’s the wine estate that knows what it’s doing.
The estate has lodging on-site, ideal for a multi-day programme with wine tasting. Mary Me coordinates the room allocation between the wedding party and family, with curated overflow in the area and transfers handled.
Quinta da Almiara is a family business dedicated, since 1980, to producing quality red and white wines. In its vineyards it has planted selected varieties — Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Castelão, Aragonés, Syrah, Fernão Pires — and the wines are obtained exclusively from grapes grown on the property.
The region is old and privileged for wine: S. Mamede da Ventosa, in Torres Vedras, with gentle hills and the maritime influence tempering the climate. The cellar has been fully remodelled and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, with capacity for millions of litres in stainless-steel vats — tradition and modernity side by side.
If you ask us, there are estates that paint vines into the backdrop and estates that live off wine. Almiara is clearly the second kind.
We’re in S. Mamede da Ventosa, in Torres Vedras, in the heart of the Lisbon Wine Region — a landscape of gentle hills and vineyards, with the Atlantic shaping the climate. It’s serious countryside, about fifty minutes from Lisbon airport.
The advantage for a destination wedding is rural authenticity with access: the estate is surrounded by nature and vines, but the city, the Silver Coast, and Ericeira are a short distance off.
Anything the guests might want to do — wine tasting, a day in Lisbon, the beach, Sintra — is at hand. Arriving is easy. Leaving — we can’t quite guarantee that part.
Quinta da Almiara is a wine wedding. The civil or symbolic ceremony takes place outdoors, with the one hundred and eighty hectares of vineyard behind; the cocktail spreads across the terraces or the cellar; dinner settles in the estate’s spaces, with the own restaurant handling the table, and the party runs into the night.
With a modern cellar, a restaurant, wine tasting, and lodging on-site, Almiara offers a complete experience — not just the wedding, but the whole world of wine around it, ideal for a multi-day programme with tasting and a cellar tour.
It’s a venue that favours wine authenticity and the landscape over spectacle — ideal for couples who want vines, hills, and a good table. And this is exactly where our experience comes in. The couple’s session winds through one hundred and eighty hectares of vineyard, the modern cellar, and the gentle hills of the Lisbon Wine Region. Pop the question. We handle the rest.
A wine estate with a restaurant, a cellar, and lodging is exactly the kind of space where our coordination turns a winemaking operation into a seamless wedding experience for international guests. We handle the design of the day in coordination with the estate team and the restaurant, the management of the lodging on the property and in the area, and the transfers from Lisbon airport, about fifty minutes away. And there’s the practical side: the civil-ceremony paperwork in Portuguese, the sound permits, and a programme of wine tasting, Lisbon, and the coast for the guests. From the first call to the last dance.
