Our wedding season has already begun with full gas, but today’s post is about Larissa and Henrique, a Brazilian couple, who chose the Douro Valley as a destination for their wedding day last 21st of June.
They both live in São Paulo and their first contact with us was in late July 2018.
Soon, we felt a connection with each other and started to plan the most beautiful day of their lives.
In the beginning, they were a little unsure of what venue to choose, but once they decided, we immediately started to “roll the machine” – Douro Valley was the perfect scenario for the celebration of these two’s love.
All their guest came abroad from Brazil. Some had the chance to visit Lisbon and other cities before and others chose Porto to visit for a couple of days.
On the wedding day, all of them went to the Douro Valley on a bus and they were welcomed with an intimate lunch with a stunning river view at their hotel.
While the ladies were getting ready for the party, with our makeup and hair artists suppliers, the men had the chance to make a visit to the Oporto wine cellars and even to taste this local delicacy.
When everybody was ready and glamourous our shuttles transferred the guests to the ceremony venue.
At 6 pm we started the symbolic ceremony surrounded by a beautiful landscape and a romantic atmosphere.
It was magical to see the bride and groom so happy and so emotional and get the feeling of “mission accomplished”.
After that, we had the cocktail at the Cellars of the venue and they chose to have dinner outside with an amazing and personalized decoration.
Everybody was having fun and enjoying when our team left the event.
On the next day, we’ve organized a barbecue at the hotel and it was a great way to thank you their guests for traveling and being at their wedding.
It was a pleasure to organize this wedding and see how wonderful, kind and beautiful this couple’s love is.
We are still waiting for their final photos, captured by Meraki, and video, by Colibri, but we can give you a sneak peek below of what it was.
