About this venue

The Immerso is proof that a hotel can be discreet and unforgettable at the same time. Built in a green valley above Ericeira, it was designed to disappear into the landscape — concrete and pine wood, vaulted ceilings that echo the shape of the waves, and views that link every space to the ocean.

It’s a five-star design hotel, a Member of Design Hotels, with a philosophy of sustainability, mindfulness, and a declared love of the sea. It has a spa with sauna, hammam, and sensory bath, a gym, yoga, a year-round outdoor pool, and the EMME restaurant, where the kitchen reinterprets the recipes of the region.

For couples who want a design wedding, intimate and in tune with nature, this is the spot. If you ask us, it’s one of the most serene settings on the coast.

History

The Immerso was born of a clear idea: to create a destination hotel that made its connection to the landscape its founding principle. The architecture — small constructions scattered across the gentle slope, inspired by the southern Iberian tradition — was conceived to integrate into the valley rather than dominate it, with environmental sustainability tailored to the local climate.

It belongs to the same collective behind the Immerso Ode Winery, further inland, but this is the seaside sibling: the one that lives facing the Atlantic, in Ericeira, the first World Surfing Reserve in Europe. The interiors, with their earthy palette, custom-designed furniture, and handmade textiles, make every space a one-of-a-kind piece.

If you ask us, the Immerso understood something rare: that luxury, today, is less about display and more about time, silence, and the feeling of belonging to a place.

About the Location

We’re in a green valley above Ericeira, in Santo Isidoro, far from the bustle but close to Lisbon. On one side, the ocean and the surf breaks; on the other, the countryside and the fishing village of Ribamar, known for its seafood. Ericeira, the first World Surfing Reserve in Europe, is right there.

The advantage for a destination wedding is the balance: Lisbon airport is about forty-five minutes away, and there are beaches, surf, and the town of Ericeira a few minutes off. Sintra, with its palaces, is up the hill.

Anything the guests might want to do the day before or after is at hand, without ever breaking the feeling of a retreat. Arriving is easy. Leaving — we can’t quite guarantee that part.

Weddings at Immerso Hotel, a Member of Design Hotels

A wedding at the Immerso is a celebration of design and serenity. Civil and symbolic ceremonies take place outdoors, with the valley and the ocean behind, and Catholic ones are coordinated at the Ericeira churches, a few minutes away. The cocktail spreads across the terraces and the pool area, with the sunset over the Atlantic.

Dinner settles in the hotel’s spaces or outdoors, with the EMME kitchen — which for events carries the signature of chef Alexandre Silva — reinterpreting the region in a contemporary register. It’s an intimate-scale wedding, in which the design of the house is part of the decor itself.

And there’s the accommodation trump card: with the hotel’s rooms and suites, their ceilings curved and their balconies over the landscape, the couple and guests sleep on-site, with spa and pool, and the wedding stretches into a weekend of sea and rest. The couple’s session moves over the valley, the pool, and the Ericeira coastline at golden hour. Pop the question. We handle the rest.

What Mary Me Unlocks

When we organise a wedding here, we handle everything that links this hotel to the world your guests come from. We handle the transfers — taking advantage of the forty-five minutes to Lisbon airport — and the management of the room blocks between the hotel’s rooms and the Ericeira hotels for overflow, with the arrival sequencing of an international group. And there’s the practical side: the permits for the ceremony and for fireworks, the sound curfew, the civil-ceremony paperwork in Portuguese, the liaison with the Ericeira churches, and a programme of surf, Sintra, and Lisbon for the guests who stay on. From the first call to the last dance.
