SUD was born in 2017 on the Belém riverfront, a few metres from the MAAT, on one of the most photogenic stretches of the Tagus. It is part of the SANA Hotels group.

We are in Belém, on Avenida Brasília, right over the Tagus. The MAAT is 160 metres away, and the Jerónimos, the CCB and the LX Factory are minutes away — the monumental and creative heart of Lisbon at the door.
For international guests, the airport is about 15 minutes away, with hotels and monuments all around. It is urban, but with the river opening the horizon.

An event for more than a thousand people on the bank of the Tagus is an operation, not an improvised party. Our work begins with the phasing: guests arriving along the Avenida da Brasília, the flow between the Hall, the deck and the rooftop, the right timing for a huge group to move without ever feeling like a crowd.
Here the kitchen is in-house, led by the chef, which settles the catering at this scale from the outset — but demands fine work on menu and timing with the SUD team, and that’s the tuning we do with you.
It’s a space that takes the large multicultural wedding well: room to raise a mandap facing the river, for a baraat entrance, and for the separation of spaces a large Hindu ceremony tends to require. We bring the specialist officiants and suppliers who have already worked this kind of event.
Council permit for the riverside sunset, sound curfew, civil-ceremony paperwork — all ours, in Portuguese. And right next door is all of Belém for the day after: the pastéis, the MAAT, the river again.
