WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE ON THE SAVE THE DATE FOR YOUR DESTINATION WEDDING IN PORTUGAL?!

If you are planning your wedding from a distance, you have probably already considered what information to include in your save the date.

In this regard, there are certain steps you should follow to ensure that all information is conveyed effectively and that the save the date serves its purpose.

MARY ME shares some suggestions with you:

DATE: Many of our clients prefer to indicate not only the wedding date but also the dates of events that will take place in the following days, as most destination weddings involve more than one day of celebration. This allows your guests to schedule the days they will need to be out of the country.

CITY: Since it is not a formal invitation, it is not necessary to provide the exact location of the wedding events, but rather the city. This information is crucial so that guests can identify the nearest airport and book flights.

SENDING IN ADVANCE: Ideally, send the save the date 9 to 12 months before, especially considering international travel. This will give guests time to organize work and the necessary vacation days to make the most of their time in Portugal. The earlier it is sent, the higher the likelihood that friends and family can attend.

The most effective way to send internationally is through WhatsApp or email. However, some clients prefer paper delivery, especially for close family and friends residing in the same city.
