Quinta da Conceição

About this venue

Quinta da Conceicao is a private rural estate in Azeitao, dating back to 1715, where the wedding happens with the whole property just for you. A restored Baroque manor house, gardens, patios, terraces, and a pool, in a setting connected to nature, half an hour from Lisbon and a step from the Arrabida.

Rather than being just a pretty backdrop, with the best bits cordoned off, here you’re fully immersed in the rich heritage of the place, inside and out. From the welcome drink to the ceremony, from the cocktail to the banquet and the party, it’s all covered — even if it rains.

For couples who want a historic-estate wedding, in exclusive use and connected to nature, this is the spot. If you ask us, it’s one of the most complete estates in Azeitao.

History

Quinta da Conceicao is a private rural property with documented origins in 1715, in Azeitao, in the heart of the Setubal peninsula. Its restored Baroque manor house and centuries-old gardens tell the story of a noble pleasure estate, in a countryside setting between the Arrabida and the Sado.

Today, the estate is dedicated to weddings and private celebrations, in exclusive use, with complete infrastructure — a transparent marquee of between four hundred and six hundred square metres, an outdoor dining space of seven hundred square metres, a party room, a catering kitchen, and parking for a hundred and fifty vehicles.

If you ask us, there are estates you see from a distance and estates you live in full. Quinta da Conceicao is clearly the second kind.

About the Location

We’re in Azeitao, on the Setubal peninsula, south of Lisbon — about thirty minutes from the airport and a step from the Arrabida mountains, Setubal, and Sesimbra. It’s serious countryside, in a setting of nature, yet close to the city and the beaches.

The advantage for a destination wedding is the combination of privacy and access: the estate is yours in full, in the heart of the country, but Lisbon, the Arrabida, the beaches, and Comporta are all at hand for the guests.

Anything the guests might want to do — the Arrabida, the Setubal beaches, wine tasting in Azeitao, a day in Lisbon — is at hand. Arriving is easy. Leaving — we can’t quite guarantee that part.

Weddings at Quinta da Conceição

Quinta da Conceicao is a historic-estate wedding in exclusive use. The civil, symbolic, or religious ceremony takes place in the gardens and patios; the cocktail spreads across the terraces and by the pool; dinner settles in the transparent marquee or the large outdoor space, and the party runs in the dedicated room, even if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

With complete infrastructure — marquee, dining space, party room, kitchen, bathrooms, and parking for a hundred and fifty vehicles — it hosts ceremony, cocktail, banquet, and party in a single location, with a capacity of up to around three hundred guests. And it’s all yours, on a full-buyout basis.

It’s a venue that favours privacy, history, and a connection to nature over spectacle — ideal for couples who want a whole estate to themselves in Azeitao. And this is exactly where our experience comes in. The couple’s session winds through the historic gardens, the patios, and the centuries-old grounds of a 1715 Azeitao estate. Pop the question. We handle the rest.

What Mary Me Unlocks

A historic estate in exclusive use, with its own infrastructure but away from the city, is exactly where our coordination makes the difference, especially in arranging suppliers, accommodation, and transfers for international guests. We handle the design of the day in coordination with the estate team, the management of the room blocks at the Azeitao and Setubal hotels, and the transfers from Lisbon airport, thirty minutes away. And there’s the practical side: the civil-ceremony paperwork in Portuguese, the sound permits, and a programme of the Arrabida, the Setubal beaches, wine tasting in Azeitao, and Lisbon for the guests. From the first call to the last dance.
